The Battle Royale

Portalpalooza is magical battle royale and not even the main event of the The World Magic Festival. The EOA has several rules and regulations for this event, but these can be divided into major and minor rules.

Major Rules

  1. Only one registration per entrant.

  2. The entrant must be age 5 yules or more. Please consult the yule conversion chart to see if you qualify.

  3. The entrant must qualify by passing a mental and physical exam. An entrant must also be willing and capable to sign or answer any and all documentation required. This also includes filling out a questionnaire, attending the interview, and provide records for the benefit of the event and security purposes.

  4. A minimum of one participant, is allowed per sign up. They must be registered as sponsored or freelance.

    To qualify for sponsored, the entrant must have a entity willing to pay a special submission fee and fill out the approval form.

    To qualify for freelance, the entrant must complete an additional qualification exam.

  5. All entrants, sponsored or freelance, must pay the submission fee. All currencies accepted except for Uncover.

  6. Entrants must willingly submit to a soul web. This will allow the branding of the required Phoenix Sigil and Tracking Sigils.

  7. Entrants must choose which branch to participate in.

    Solo Deathmatch (for single entrants)

    Duos Deathmatch (for partners entrants)

    Group Deathmatch (for teams)

    Large Deathmatch (reserved for larger species)

    Miniature Deathmatch (for those who can shapeshift)

    Aquatic Deathmatch (reserved for water only species)

    Exotic Deathmatch (for those who can shapeshift)

  8. Entrants may sign up for more than one branch, but must pay the fee for each one. Entrants must also qualify and be approved prior to participation.

  9. Entrants will be placed into a bracket based on their exams.

    Upper Bracket

    Middle Bracket

    Lower Bracket

    They may ascend the brackets by placing in the top of each.

    They will also be assigned a number based on their current estimated odds of winning within their bracket by the association.

  10. Outside interference of the event will not be tolerated.

  11. When a contestant is unconscious or killed, they are eliminated. If they are out of bounds, they will be eliminated. Interference with eliminated contestants will result in elimination and further penalties

  12. Malicious intent towards others, objects, and rules will not be tolerated.

  13. By registering in the event, the entrant make a commitment to finish the tournament according to the rules and regulations. The entrant cannot refuse to participate in the tournament because of disagreement with the rules, the decisions of the administration or unsuitable conditions. In case of refusal of action, contestant may be disqualified and removed.
